How can I get my medication refilled?

If your medication was not prescribed by one of our practitioners, you will need to schedule an appointment to evaluate the need for a refill. If the medicine was prescribed by one of our practitioners, please contact your pharmacy to request a refill.

I need paperwork completed. Can you help me?

Paperwork such as school or work excuses and return-to-school or -work notes can be requested at the front desk. Paperwork which involves face-to-face evaluation such as Family and Medical Leave Act, treatment-related paperwork, prescriptions for medical equipment, etc. requires an office visit.

Do you offer routine health screenings?

Yes, Health screenings such as mammograms and those for cervical cancer, colon cancer, lung cancer, and others are offered through our primary care services. Contact us for an appointment.

Are advanced screening services available?

Yes. Advanced nutritional and genetic testing is available to interested patients. Contact us to schedule a Nutrigen appointment with Dr. Saira Dar, which includes a personalized consultation based upon your specific needs and interests.

Will my insurance cover advanced screenings?

Insurance coverage varies for advanced testing. Based on your insurance provider, your health needs and any chronic conditions, advanced screenings may or may not be covered. Advanced screenings will be ordered only with your approval and there are no additional office visit charges related to these services.

What is a Nutrigen appointment?

A typical Nutrigen appointment is a follow-up visit to the initial evaluation and is scheduled to go over the results of any advanced screenings you have chosen to complete, such as:

  • Genetic screening
  • Nutritional screening
  • Hormone screening
  • Food and environmental allergy screening
  • Environmental and bio-toxin screenings

During this visit, an individualized care plan is discussed and appropriate treatment is provided to meet your goals and optimize your health and wellness. Because Nutrigen treatment plans can be quite complex, Dr. Saira Dar will provide her personal contact information for text and email purposes, enhancing the ongoing care and monitoring of her patients. Please discuss details at your visit.

I’m healthy. Should I schedule a Nutrigen appointment?

Electing to undergo advanced screenings is a personal decision that depends on many factors. Have a conversation with your physician in order to make an informed decision. Whether or not you choose to undergo these advanced screenings, we are committed to providing you with the best possible care.

Are personalized medicine or Nutrigen appointments expensive?

There is no additional or increased charge for this type of office visit. However, some of the advanced screening may not entirely be covered by insurance. Your patient care coordinators will try to work within the limits of your insurance coverage to get these screenings approved, but there may be some additional costs to you if you agree to the screenings. Whether or not you undergo these advanced screenings, we are committed to providing you with the best possible care.
