Caring For Patients For over 20 Years
Linda Fortmeier is a board certified family nurse practitioner with a specialization in mental health. She received her BSN from the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston. Her MSN from the University of the Incarnate Word and post-graduate nurse practitioner education from the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston. In 2005, she completed her doctorate in nursing from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio.
Her background includes over 20 years practicing as a nurse practitioner. During her appointment as an assistant professor at the University of Texas Health Science Center San Antonio, she was the coordinator of the nurse practitioner programs and was involved in several mental health research studies.

Dr. Fortmeier encourages shared decision making with her patients. Her UT faculty patient practice included inpatient, crisis and outpatient mental health settings. In addition to her work at the University of Texas, she served 22 years in the U.S Air Force as a flight nurse and nurse practitioner.
Outside of work, she spends time with her family.
